Good Afternoon RMC'ers,
Our new youth engagement program applications for 2024 are now open! If you know of a young person between the age of 12-18 that would benefit from this program, point them in the direction of our Youth Engagement page on our website HERE where an EOI form is located. We can't wait for this program to be up and running and for a new crop of youths to be welcomed to our RMC community.
Morning Low-Impact Cardio Block
With consistently low numbers at 6:30am, we have made the decision to cancel this class. This will bring bigger numbers, vibes and energy to our 6:00am session.
If you haven't tried our low-impact cardio, be sure to join the team for some fun on Tuesday and Thursday morning.

Movement Through Parenthood Program
Run Move Connect is a community built on caring for eachother, moving together and providing a safe and inclusive space for people to meet. It isn't lways about movement, rather deep connections and sense of belonging that our memebrs experience.
We are very excited, with the incredible support of the Community Bank Huon Valley and Community Against Poverty Assoc Inc to provide the following programs to our community:
Youth Engagement Mentorship Program (12-18 years old)
20 participants
6 months all inclusive participation to Run Move Connect classes
Individualised mentorship (from a member within the Huon Valley community) to provide support, navigate challenges and develop skills based on goals.

12 weeks of individualised exercise programming with Hannah and Paige in a small group setting, once per week
Complimentary Exercise Physiology initial consultation with Exercise Physiologist, Hannah
Individualised exercise program based on healthy history, goal setting and physical assessment with Hannah

Access to PCYC After Hours-
Our code for the PCYC front door will be sent out directly to all members who are booked in for each session. Please have your phone handy when attending sessions so you can access the building.

Social Saturday
The wet weather can always scare a few of us off but never fear, the coffee will always be hot and we have a lovely warm place to keep you dry. See you at Reba Sear next week.
Thinking about attending Social Saturday?
Our Social Saturday morning are for walkers, runners, furry friends and whoever wants to kick start their weekend with movement, coffee and great company.
We begin our loop from Reba Sear at 8am every Saturday. Choose a 5km loop or simply have a nice trot around Huonville. Return back to Reba Sear for a hot drink, something to eat or head off to start your weekend.

LAY DOWN
Last week our bodies were challenged in an upright position and this week we get to dive down onto the floor and strengthen our bodies lying down - a perfect week to reset.
In the midst of cold days, busy work and life schedules, juggling the needs of our families, sickness and general exhaustion etc. it is normal that we experience days and weeks when motivation and energy are low and we cannot bear the thought of working out.
Whilst rest is important, these are the days our bodies need movement and love the most. If we are not able to regularly release stress and tension, we start to hold this in our bodies which creates long-term imbalances in the body. Movement is a strong protective strategy to release the build up of stress and tension we hold onto through our busy lifestyles. Exercise promotes circulation and blood flow, boosts energy and balances our nervous system.

Pilates PULSE
Low to moderate intensity intervals based on time goals. Pilates exercises include the use of body weight and small equipment (bands, ball and weights). Available to all abilities and bodies. Class focus is to build endurance, strength and cardiovascular fitness. Great for those wanting a sweaty cardio session.
Pilates FORM
Slower paced functional class. Exercise layers are reduced to focus on precision, form and breath. A great foundational class to receive increased support and hands on correction. Excises always commence at most regressed level with the intention to realign posture and support every day activity.
A great class for clients new to Pilates, those with existing health challenges or returning to exercise, pregnancy as well as those wanting to strengthen foundational movements.
Pilates FLOW
This class includes a mix of modern and traditional Pilates exercises with progressions offered to those seeking further challenge.
Session includes release/stretch work throughout as well as periods of increased effort to create a balanced total body session.
RMC Studio Details- Strength
Strength Focus- Stability and Balance
Focussing on balance and pelvic control
Using on trunk stability and maintaining posture and body alignment
Exercises will challenge this body awareness and work to use opposing muscle group to support movement patterning.
GENERAL CLASS REMINDERS
Please take SWEAT TOWELS and drink bottles with you throughout the session.
Please advise the instructor if you have any new or old injuries that they should be aware of or will impact your training. We will support you with your exercise and provide alternative exercises.
Please be prompt to classes as we aim to start demonstration on time.
